This is a last resort option to fix issues with the Desktop app. Please try the steps listed in the Common Issues section first.
We recommend that you backup your data by exporting your Characters and Chat Logs.
Alternatively, if you cannot even open the app, save the db.sqlite
file located in the Backyard AI folder (the same one referenced in the steps below). You will need to reach out to a dev in Discord for help recovering this data.
It is not guaranteed that this data will be recoverable after a factory reset.
