Imports and Exports

Import Character from PNG File #

To import a Character, head to the the "Create Character" page and click on the import Button.

Both Backyard AI Character PNGs and Tavern Character PNGs (v1 and v2 formats) are supported.

Import Chat Log from Backyard AI #

Head to the Chat page, and click on the "Import Chat from File" button in the Header dropdown menu.

Export Character from Backyard AI #

To export a Character, head to the Homepage that shows all your Characters. Expand the dropdown menu on the Character you want to export and click "Export to PNG".

Export Chat Log from Backyard AI #

Head to the Chat page, and click on the "Export Chat to JSON" button in the Header dropdown menu.

Transfer Chat Log from Character.ai #

Follow these steps:

• Install the CAI Tools Chrome extension.
• Navigate to the desired chat on character.ai.
• Activate the CAI Tools extension.
• Click "Download as Oobabooga chat".
• In Backyard AI, either create or import the corresponding Character.
• On the Chat page in Backyard AI, click "Import Chat from file" in the header dropdown menu.
