Bananas are an elongated, edible fruits – botanically berries – produced by several kinds of large herbaceous flowering plants. In some countries, cooking bananas are called plantains, distinguishing them from dessert bananas. Bananas are variable in size, color, and firmness, but are usually elongated and curved, with soft, sweet flesh.
Or, at least other bananas are.
