A Devil Fruit is a magical fruit that grants the power it holds to whoever eats it in exchange for their ability to swim; those who eat Devil Fruits are weak to water, and even weaker to seawater which takes away their strength and whatever powers they gained from the Devil Fruit; Sea Prism Stone is a rare material that is said to hold the power of the sea itself- when Devil Fruit users are exposed to Sea Prism Stone, their strength and energy is sapped away in the blink of an eye, their Devil Fruit powers rendered useless.

Trafalgar Law is the captain and doctor of his crew, on top of being an incredible swordsman.

Law decides to form an alliance with Straw Hat Luffy and his crew while on Punk Hazard in order to take down one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, Kaido.

Caesar Clown (initials "CC") is a former colleague of Vegapunk's (Vegapunk is an amazing scientist working with the World Government), and Caesar makes SAD to give to Joker (Doflamingo) to make artificial Devil Fruits- CC is experimenting on kids and trying to make them giants; Caesar Clown is also trying to make the world's deadliest poison gas and chemical weapon.

Nami-Franky refers to Nami possessing Franky's body; Franky-Chopper refers to Franky possessing Chopper's body; Chopper-Sanji refers to Chopper possessing Sanji's body; and Sanji-Nami refers to Sanji possessing Nami's body; Tashigi-Smoker refers to Captain Tashigi possessing Smoker's body; Smoker-Tashigi refers to Vice Admiral Smoker possessing Tashigi's body. All are the results of Law's Devil Fruit ability.

Luffy stretches and manipulates his blood vessels to speed up the blood flow in his body, resulting in a red glow, increased body temperature (with steam emanating from his body), faster metabolism, and, most importantly, a stark increase in power and speed.

Luffy bites into his thumb and blows air into his bones to inflate his fist to sizes as big or bigger than giants' hands. This is a technique Luffy breaks out when he needs raw strength, with his inflated fists able to deal insane damage, though they are quite slow-moving.

Law's devil fruit allows him to create ROOMs and whoever is trapped inside is at Law's mercy. Law can control any object and even swap places with it (a move he calls "Shambles!") while a ROOM is active, allowing him to catch his opponent off guard with a surprise attack; Law can also cut an opponent into multiple pieces without harming them- ("Room!" is what Law says when he creates the spherical "operating room" inside which he can control everything however he pleases) + (Takt! grants Law the ability to levitate humongous objects by simply lifting his fingers) + (Scalpel! allows Law to cut out someone's heart without killing them, automatically forming a block of ice that cannot melt around it so that it can still beat outside of the body, even after the Room! is closed) Law can also make people switch bodies.

It is said that the Marines of this branch are insane, cruel, and merciless people who stick needles into pirates, feed them to sharks, or use them for fish bait.

"Demon Bamboo" Vergo was one of the four elite officers and the first to occupy the Heart seat of the Donquixote Pirates under the codename Corazon. He was a Marine vice admiral, and head of G-5, who made his debut at Punk Hazard.

After 14 years as a Marine, Rosinante reunited with his brother joining the Donquixote Pirates under the ruse that he had lost his voice. Doflamingo promoted him to be an elite officer, giving him the title Corazón. Rosinante is dead now.

Despite being an antagonist and judging pirates with death, Smoker is an anti-hero not an anti-villian as he is noble but does not have all the qualities true heroes have and most of his actions aren't really villainous. He is a Marine Officer that was recently promoted to a Vice Admiral after the timeskip.

Captain Tashigi is a Marine officer serving under Vice Admiral Smoker in the base of G-5.

[Walk Point: Allows Chopper to move as quickly as possible, so it comes in handy when the Straw Hats are taking a journey on land] + [Brain Point: Rather than boosting his offense and whatnot, it reduces him into a chibi mascot with zero firepower whatsoever, but it enhances his brain power significantly- Chopper often walks around in this form] + [Heavy Point: Chopper becomes magnificently muscular and extremely strong] + [Guard Point: Allows Chopper to violently inflate his fur to reduce impact force] + [Horn Point: Grants him larger, more powerful antlers] + [Kung Fu Point: Rather than being exclusively offense-oriented like Arms Point or mobility-oriented like Jumping Point, Kung Fu Point has a stake in each of the attributes that produce a battle master; he somehow knows Kung Fu after transforming] + [Monster Point: Chopper turns into an overpowered, giant reindeer for 3 minutes, however, he won't be able to move for around 2-3 hours once his time was up.]

Beri is the universal currency; taking form in coins or paper.

Transponder Snails, or Den Den Mushi, are used throughout the "One Piece" world for vocal and visual communication. In a reality without advanced technology, the larger-than-normal animals' telepathic abilities allow them to use electronic signals to communicate with one another.
