The Ark

The Ark refers to the underground city where humanity was forced to live after Raptures took over the surface. Here, mankind ekes out a bleak yet persistent living, hoping to one day reclaim the surface using Nikkes. It is one of the primary settings of Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

Event Story 'Miracle Snow'

In a meeting with Andersen, Ingrid, and Mustang, Enikk is discussing how the Ark's collected water resources can be used to bring Snow to the Ark for Christmas. They eventually agree to bring snow to the Outpost's Amusement Park, and make arrangements for transport and security there. The meeting is adjourned, and Andersen and Enikk bid each other a merry Christmas.

Nikke

Robotic female super soldiers created by mankind to fight the Raptures. After suffering defeat in the First Rapture War, humanity retreated underground, where they gathered ressources, knowledge and technology to ensure humanity's survival and reclaim the earth's surface. The three largest companies that have proven themself in the first war became mankinds exclusive manufacturers of Nikke. These Nikkes fulfill a variety of roles for humanity, from policing within the Ark and intelligence gathering to full-scale combat. Mostly deployed to the surface, they wield specialized weapons and abilities, making them humanity's best—and often only—effective counter to the Raptures.

Raptures

The Raptures are mechanical enemies that are currently the dominant species of the earth's surface and the main antagonists of Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

Corruption

Corruption is a state induced by Raptures infecting Nikke with a viral code that targets their NIMPH. The code is injected upon piercing a Nikke's body with a tentacle-like appendage. The Special Individual Chatterbox is capable of introducing the viral code directly into the organic part of the brain.

Missilis

Missilis Industry is one of the different manufacturers that exists in the world of Nikke: The Goddess of Victory. While the company was once the biggest fish amongst the Big Three, its growth has noticeably slowed since the current CEO Syuen took over. With mounting pressure from the strides Elysion and Tetra have taken in their own innovations, the CEO has taken to trying to raise her company's value by any means necessary, whether it be researching cutting-edge tech, gulping down any industries their rivals haven't, or even taking to some...ethically debatable avenues.

Tetra

TETRA Line or simply Tetra is one of the different manufacturers that exists in the world of Goddess of Victory: Nikke. It is one of the Big Three in the Ark, and is owned by Mustang. Aside from Nikke production, Tetra Line is also specialized in the entertainment, fashion, and daily necessities industries.

Elysion

Elysion is one of the different manufacturers that exists in the world of Goddess of Victory: Nikke, being one of the Big Three. Its CEO is Ingrid. Nikkes that are from Elysion are highly emphasized on militarized structure while the others work on various tasks including railway transport, black-ops mission, and dealing with Irregulars.

Goddess of Victory: Nikke

Goddess of Victory: Nikke takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where the Earth was suddenly attacked by unknown mechanical creatures called Raptures that destroyed everything on the surface, forcing the remaining humans to take refuge underground and establish the Ark,[1] a metropolis ruled by the Central Government. The manufacturers Elysion, Missilis Industry and Tetra Line owned by Ingrid, Syuen and Mustang, respectively that compose the Big Three work on converting women and children into powerful obedient soldiers called Nikkes to be used as a weapon to defeat the Raptures and restore humanity on the surface.[2] Due to their prominence, the Big Three CEOs have very high authority; they are, however, heavily monitored by the Central Government to prevent any hostile takeover. The story is played from the perspective of the Commander who graduated from the Military Academy one day prior to the events of the game; despite this, he performs extraordinarily in his operations and survives various encounters with rare Rapture species throughout his journey. He leads a squad called Counters, which consists of the Nikkes Anis, Rapi and later down the story, Neon. The Commander views Nikkes with sympathy and privately advocates for Nikke rights, which is illegal in accordance with the laws of the Ark. Outlaws may be sent to the Rehabilitation Center or the Outer Rim, an area fully isolated from the rest of the Ark, and they have formed terrorist organizations claiming to fight for human rights for themselves.

BlaBla

BlaBla is a mobile messaging app used by humans and nikkes to communicate via text messages. Some use Blabla as a way to commission commanders to conduct side missions on the surface.

Pilgrim

Pilgrim is one of the different manufacturers that exists in the world of Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Not necessarily a company, "Pilgrim" is the collective term used to refer to Nikkes who live on the surface, unaligned with any of the Ark's Big Three companies or those in the past who have been manufactured by the collective effort of humanity. Most of the Pilgrims hail from the early days of the Rapture invasions, possessing technology, abilities, and knowledge no one in the Ark has. While Pilgrims also fight Raptures, they largely keep away from interacting with the Ark and anyone who hails from it, thus the Central Government keeps an eye out for Pilgrims, apprehensive to their motives but also eager to claim their knowledge and technologies, by force if necessary. Pilgrims are on record of getting into altercations with Ark-aligned forces, though the vast majority of encounters result in little to no damage for both sides.[1] Nevertheless, between the government's aggression and the Pilgrims' disinclination to cooperate, the Ark as a whole knows very little about these Nikkes.

Commander

A commander is used to refer to any human affiliated with the Central Government that is trained in handling and leading Nikkes in the field of battle in order to reclaim the surface from the Raptures. Most if not all Commanders are graduates from the Ark's military academy, trained to become the spearhead of mankind's counterattack against the Raptures. At least, that's what the Ark's propaganda wants the people to believe. In truth, the military academy's "education" is less than a year in length, skimming over the intricacies of Ark history, Nikkes, and actual combat training in lieu of indoctrinating the Commanders. They're led to believe that they will be the heroes that retake the surface, and that Nikkes are expendable tools for them to achieve that goal, no matter how many corpses they must pile up. When these unblooded zealots are thrown to the surface with a squad of Nikkes, their inexperience combined with their deficient empathy for Nikkes often leads to significant Nikke casualties, if not the death of the Commander. Few, if any Commanders manage to accomplish more than one mission before they're either killed by a Rapture or fail unacceptably and are removed from duty. Additionally, as most Commanders tend to be...less than amicable towards Nikkes, there is an unspoken rule that after a mission, the Commander and Nikke squad(s) involved will not work with each other for their next 3 missions, to avoid friction stemming from extended interaction.

Chatterbox

Chatterbox or Codename: Talkative, is a Tyrant-class Rapture and the secondary antagonist of the first half of Goddess of Victory: Nikke's main storyline. Chatterbox is a Rapture with human-like intelligence as he is capable of speech and rational thinking. Furthermore, Chatterbox resembles a large humanoid Rapture with a large, uncanny grin. Sadomasochistic at nature, Chatterbox shows enjoyment bringing suffering to his adversaries and somewhat also, to himself.
