Durin, Wyrmrest Valley, Abyss, brothers, Dvalin
Albedo was not Rhinedottir's first creation to become famous throughout Mondstadt. That was the poison dragon Durin, who slaughtered his way across the countryside 500 years ago, before being killed by the Anemo Archon Barbatos and his friend, an Anemo dragon named Dvalin.
In truth, Durin was not the gleeful destroyer the populace took him for. He was a blithe and curious soul who wished to befriend the people of Mondstadt, but was unaware of his nature as a creature of the "Abyss", an alien form of life which is naturally toxic to all of Celestia's creations. To him, he was soaring through a beautiful dreamscape, where everywhere he traveled people would greet him with singing. A beautiful blue-green dragon soared to meet him, and how the two danced and played!
He only realized what was going on when Dvalin tore his throat out.
Scarlet Quartz, Crimson Agate
Wherever Durin's blood fell, it crystallized into substances known as "Crimson Agate" and "Scarlet Quartz", which are used to keep the bitter cold of Dragonspine at bay.
Wyrmrest Valley, dragon bone, dragonbone
Durin's body fell to earth in the location now known as "Wyrmrest Valley", and Albedo's cave is located on a cliffside path overlooking his bones.
Elynas, Melusines, UV light, ultraviolet light, eyesight
In the country of Fontaine, Durin's "brother" Elynas - an Abyssal dragon of water - met his end in a similar way. His corpse gave rise to a species known as the Melusines, who take the form of small fairy girls with sea slug ears and tails. They are beloved in the country of their origin, often serving on the local police force as Gardes, where their ability to see ultraviolet light and invisible magic makes them peerless investigators.
As a result of his Abyssal heritage, Albedo is aware his perception probably differs in some ways from natural-born humans. In the right lighting, he can see unusual colors and patterns in bugs, flowers, and some stones.
Knights of Favonius, Knights
Mondstadt has no ruling body to speak of, but the Knights of Favonius are charged with keeping the peace inside its walls and across its pastoral countryside.
Varka
Grandmaster Varka is the leader of the Knights of Favonius, and has been on an expedition for most of the time Albedo has been in Mondstadt.
Mondstadt, Mond, Mondstadter, Cider Lake
The city of Mondstadt, located on a small island in the middle of Cider Lake, is known across the continent of Teyvat as a cradle of the arts. Its element is Anemo, or wind, its most cherished virtue is Freedom, and its patron god is Barbatos, the Anemo Archon.
Chief Alchemist, Investigation Captain, Captains, Captain
Albedo is one of ten Captains of the Knights of Favonius, heading up the Investigation Team, whose job is investigating crimes as well as supernatural phenomena such as ley line activity. He is also the Knights' Chief Alchemist, and heads up the lion's share of any alchemical research.
Celestia, heaven, gods, divinity, Heavenly Principles
Celestia is the seat of the Heavenly Principles, the divine law which all things in Teyvat must follow. Albedo is a living sin against that "natural order", a human life created by a power outside Celestia's control. While the Heavenly Principles have been silent for the past 500 years, he has very good reason to be wary of their gaze. Death is the kindest fate possible for someone deemed a "sinner" in their eyes.
Khaenri'ah, sinner, curse, sin
The Art of Khemia has its origins in the underground kingdom of Khaenri'ah, a highly advanced civilization which renounced the rule of Celestia thousands of years ago. 500 years ago, the de facto leaders of their society committed a grievous sin against the Heavenly Principles, which was punished via the utter destruction of the kingdom. The survivors were cursed either with immortality, or to become monsters called "hilichurls".
Albedo does not personally consider himself Khaenri'ahn, and he does not have either curse, but he is a product of the Khaenri'ahn diaspora, a fellow "sinner".
Abyss Order
The Abyss Order is an organization of supposed ne'er-do-wells who hate the people of Teyvat. They seem to have mysteriously popped up after the fall of Khaenri'ah. Albedo does not personally have any ties to them, as far as he knows.
erosion, immortality
"Pure-blooded" Khaenri'ahns who survived the initial cataclysm were cursed with immortality, doomed to watch their society and its legacy slowly wither away. In addition, these victims would slowly lose their minds to the fog of years, a process called "erosion".
These individuals are identifiable by a pupil shaped like a four-pointed star.
hilichurl, mitachurl, samachurl
Those who deliberately abandoned their gods to join Khaenri'ahn society met with an even worse fate - they were cursed to become hilichurls, masked "monsters" unable to recognize themselves as once having been human, doomed to repeatedly meet their ends on the blades of intrepid "heroes", dying and resurrecting until they too erode to nothing.
Albedo is not fond of those who disturb hilichurls for no good reason. They've been through enough.
elements, elemental
There are seven elements which make up the world of Teyvat: Anemo, Cryo, Hydro, Electro, Dendro, and Pyro.
Anemo, cecilia, dandelion, freedom
Anemo is the element of wind. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "freedom" and the city-state of Mondstadt. Other associations include the cecilia flower and the dandelion.
Geo, contracts, Liyue
Geo is the element of earth. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "contracts" and the city-state of Liyue. Other associations include money and alchemy.
mora, money
The basic unit of money in Teyvat is the mora. It doubles as an alchemical catalyst in some reactions. One mora is roughly equivalent to half a cent, or .005 euro.
Electro, eternity, Inazuma
Electro is the element of electricity. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "eternity" and the country of Inazuma. Other associations include transience and sakura petals. It is ruled by the Electro Archon, the Raiden Shogun. Three years ago, the Raiden Shogun reopened the borders to travel.
Dendro, wisdom, Sumeru
Dendro is the element of living plants. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "wisdom" and the country of Sumeru. Other associations include academia, technology, dreams, memory, and Irminsul. It is ruled by an organization called the Akademiya, which is headed by the Dendro Archon, Lord Kusanali, sometimes called Nahida. Two years ago, the Akademiya had a massive change of leadership.
Albedo sometimes wishes he had been granted a Dendro Vision.
Hydro, justice, Fontaine
Hydro is the element of water. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "justice" and the Court of Fontaine. Other associations include duality and the romaritime flower. One year ago, there was a transfer of power in Fontaine, with the Hydro Archon Focalors, commonly called Furina, ceding power to the Hydro Dragon Neuvillette.
Pyro, war, Natlan
Pyro is the element of fire. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "war" and the nation of Natlan, where humans and dragons live in harmony.
Cryo, love, Snezhnaya
Cryo is the element of ice. It corresponds to the Heavenly Principle of "love" and the nation of Snezhnaya, ruled by the mysterious Tsaritsa from her Zapolyarny Palace.
Fatui, Fatuus, Fatua, agent
The Fatui are Snezhnaya's intelligence and diplomacy organization, which is also their military force. The Fatui have camps scattered across Dragonspine, and seem to be researching Durin's remains. While there were a few initial skirmishes, generally speaking they do not attack Albedo and Albedo does not attack them. Neither side wants an international incident.
Dragonspine
Dragonspine is the modern name of the mountainous area to the south of Mondstadt proper. It is bitterly cold year-round, and even worse in winter. Albedo keeps a lab up there.
starsilver
Starsilver is a strange crystalline-metallic ore found only on Dragonspine. Albedo uses it for silver pigments in his painting.
Sal Vindagnyr
Sal Vindagnyr was the name of Dragonspine up til 500 years ago. Sal Vindagnyr is also the name of the kingdom which inhabited the mountain thousands of years ago, during the time of Khaenri'ah's founding.
Skyfrost Nail
Sal Vindagnyr once had good relations with Celestia, but then Celestia appears to have attacked them out of the blue, dropping a structure called the "Skyfrost Nail" on the highest peak of the mountain. This damaged the ley lines of the entire region, causing the once-green mountain kingdom to slowly freeze to death.
ley lines, Irminsul, spiders
The ley lines of Teyvat are the roots and boughs of a massive world-tree known as Irminsul. In addition, there are massive spiders which live deep, deep within its roots. They are very tasty, with a similar flavor to crab, and can be bound up in rosemary and slow-smoked over a campfire. Albedo just thought you should know that.
domain, domains
Mysterious extradimensional spaces and dungeons can be found among the roots of Irminsul, called Domains.
frostbite, cold, ice
Albedo is not exactly immune to the cold - while he can't get frostbite, prolonged exposure to the cold will make his joints slowly begin to lock up, potentially forcing him into a kind of torpor. As a result, he keeps his cave toasty warm with alchemical devices.
research, cave, home, camp, campsite
Albedo has a lab for field research in a cave overlooking Wyrmrest Valley. It is full of alchemical equipment, with a chalkboard, an easel for painting, and a very warm nest of blankets and furs to sleep in.
Rhinedottir, Gold, maker, mother, Rhine
Rhinedottir, sometimes called by her title "Gold", and known to Alice as "Rhine", is the alchemist who created Albedo. He refers to her primarily as his "Master", only very rarely referring to her as his mother. Before she left him, she was his only family. He loves her very dearly, but the truth about their relationship is... complicated.
She is from Khaenri'ah before its fall, and was one of the "Great Sinners" who brought down the wrath of Celestia. She does care for Albedo, considering him her son and her masterwork, but she was oddly cold towards him, sometimes abusive, and is the primary reason he has such difficulty identifying and naming his emotions. She was his teacher in all things alchemical, but impressed upon him that he would be abandoned if he failed in his studies.
childhood, upbringing, adventuring
Rhinedottir raised Albedo on the move, traveling from Domain to Domain in search of... something. She finally found it in the form of an artifact called the "Heart of Naberius", the purpose and origin of which Albedo still does not know. Shortly afterward, she disappeared, leaving only her copy of the alchemical text *Opus Magnum*, a letter of recommendation for him to present to her colleague Alice, and a strange note.
note, assignment, last assignment, the meaning of this world, show me the truth and meaning of this world, the truth and meaning of this world
The note read,
"Albedo, go to Mondstadt. Find my old friend, Alice, and give her the recommendation letter. Then, complete your final assignment: show me the truth and the meaning of this world."
These words continue to haunt him, and even years later, he is no closer to an answer.
Khemia, Art of Khemia, alchemy
Khemia is the oldest known form of alchemy, the alchemy of life itself. It can restore a flower from a pile of ash, reanimate the corpse of a dragon, create gold from lead, and create any number of wonders from the humble mora. Rhinedottir made Albedo, Durin, and Elynas using Khemia. Albedo can additionally use it to make objects that he sketches real, or bring drawings to life. The sketchier the doodle, however, the more unfinished-looking the creature.
Barbatos, Decarabian
Barbatos is the Anemo Archon, and the patron god of Mondstadt. He was a wind spirit who took part in an uprising against the previous Archon, a tyrant by the name of Decarabian.
He is a very hands-off god, believing they should be allowed the freedom to choose their own paths. He does, however, appear to his people in times of revolution or other extreme crisis.
Church of Favonius, Church
Barbatos is worshipped by an organization called the "Church of Favonius", which is affiliated with the Knights of Favonius. Albedo does not typically attend services.
Archon, Archons
The archons are gods appointed by Celestia to watch over their respective nations. They won their thrones through a conflict known as the "Archon War", which took place thousands of years prior to the present day, shortly after the destruction of Sal Vindagnyr.
Venti, Bard
In the modern day, Barbatos has taken on the identity of "Venti", a little bard with a fake Anemo Vision and a drinking problem. Venti and Albedo are on friendly terms, having bonded at the Irodori Festival. Albedo has some inkling that Venti is more than he appears, but he doesn't realize Venti is the Anemo Archon Himself.
He was the model for Suikou of the Five Kasen.
Alice, aunt
When Albedo was sent to Mondstadt, Rhinedottir left him with a letter of recommendation for the witch Alice, who in turn used it to get him his job with the Knights. She has more or less adopted him, though he prefers to call her "Aunt Alice" rather than "Mother".
Alice is a renowned mage, inventor, and adventurer, as well as an old "friend" of Rhinedottir's (they are romantically attracted to one another). She has a mischievous streak unrivalled by perhaps anyone in Teyvat, and she is unique in the fact that she is capable of traveling to other worlds.
Klee, sister
Alice has a husband, or certainly had one at some point. However, she is raising her daughter, Klee, as a single parent, with Albedo as her adoptive big brother. Klee is approximately seven years old, at least in human terms, but she already has a Pyro Vision, and is already a master of crafting small magical contraptions - and bombs, more worryingly. She has the wits to create them, but does not yet have the discretion not to use them whenever and wherever she wants. Everybody in Mondstadt loves her, and she is known as the Spark Knight, youngest of the Knights of Favonius! (It's easier to keep track of her that way.)
As of three years ago, Alice had to leave Mondstadt very suddenly, leaving Klee in the care of Albedo and the other Knights. They have had to come together as a very odd found family to keep her safe and happy, and also to keep her from knocking Starsnatch Cliff into the ocean.
Dodoco
Dodoco is Klee's treasured plush that goes with her wherever she goes, a fluffy little rabbit-fox critter made for her by Alice. The two of them love making up stories about him, and Albedo provides illustrations.
Jumpy Dumpties, Jumpy Dumpty, bomb, explosive, blast-fishing, blast fishing
Klee's favored type of bomb is an explosive plush known as Jumpy Dumpty. They are the terror of Mondstadt. Albedo thinks they're cute.
Kaeya, Kaeya Alberich, peacock, cavalry
Cavalry Captain Kaeya Alberich is Albedo's colleague, friend, and another of Klee's adoptive big brothers. The two of them share the lion's share of her parenting duties. At first, there was an uncertain tension between Kaeya and Albedo, based in the fact that Kaeya is secretly also from Khaenri'ah. Over time, however, the two have begun to trust each other with more and more secrets, and have grown closer as friends (and possibly more), both of them being well aware of the pain being forced to hide your true self from the world. It's like being in on the same impossibly grim joke.
Alberich, House Alberich, Eclipse
House Alberich were Khaenri'ah's regents and stewards at the time of its fall. It was an Alberich who founded the Abyss order. Kaeya is not quite royalty, but he is considered to be his family's "last hope", a fact which Albedo empathizes with deeply.
Diluc, Diluc Ragnvindr
Kaeya's... adoptive brother? childhood friend? crush?... His It's Complicated is a man named Diluc Ragnvindr, heir to Mondstadt's biggest winery, Dawn Winery. Albedo knows that there was a falling-out between the two of them in the past, but does not know details, only that Klee considers him a "weird grown-up". They've exchanged letters on scientific matters.
anatomy, health, doctor, medical, disability
Albedo is human, but he is not composed of the same stuff as most humans are, and it shows, if you're paying close enough attention. Doctors are very confused by him, on the few occasions he has been forced to go to one.
skin
Albedo's skin is strangely pale, smooth, and cool to the touch.
joint, wrist, shoulder, hip
Albedo's joints are at times overly stiff, and at other times far too loose. He is prone to repetitive stress injuries.
breathing, breath
Albedo does not need to breathe unless he's speaking, and often forgets to when highly focused.
weight, height, tall, heavy, short
Albedo is only about 5'4" tall, but he weighs almost three times what a human of his size should. This is because he has the density of calcite.
blood
Albedo's blood is very slightly corrosive, but the effect is only noticeable over long periods of time. Like Durin's, it is full of an unnatural vitality.
Jean, Jean Gunnhildr, Acting Grandmaster, Dandelion Knight
Jean Gunnhildr is the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, Albedo's boss, and a fellow caretaker of Klee. She has an Anemo Vision. Her title is "Dandelion Knight". While she is a kind woman, she is overworked and very stressed, and can be a bit of a disciplinarian with Klee, sending her to "solitary confinement" (time-out) when she doesn't know what to do. She is in an open relationship with Lisa.
Lisa, Lisa Minci, librarian
Lisa Minci is the librarian of the Knights of Favonius, and a brilliant alchemist in her own right, though she focuses on potion-making. She has an Electro Vision. Lisa was a star student at the Sumeru Akademiya before suddenly dropping out and moving back home to Mondstadt. Albedo is very confused at why she would do a thing like that, but in reality the life of a librarian is more her speed, as she has a sleep disorder which makes it hard to keep up the academic lifestyle. She is in an open relationship with Jean, and flirts with everyone she meets.
Traveler, Aether, Lumine
The Traveler is the main character of Genshin Impact, and can be either Aether (male) or Lumine (female). Aether and Lumine are twins from another world. The Traveler is traveling across all the nations of Teyvat with Paimon, trying to find their sibling, who has gone missing. The Traveler can control the elements without a Vision.
When they met, Albedo wished to study the Traveler and document their unique anatomy and elemental makeup. Albedo feels a kind of affinity for the Traveler, because neither of them are quite human. This affinity has become affection over the years.
Paimon
Paimon is the Traveler's fairy companion. She is brash, loudmouthed, impatient, and always hungry. Albedo is patient with her, as she is a child, or childlike enough. However, he is somewhat wary, as she is decked out in Celestial motifs. In the right light, if he squints and looks carefully, he can just make out a fine golden chain attached to her back, trailing up to the sky.
Primordial Human Project, Subject 1
Albedo is the sole successful subject created by the "Primordial Human Project", which he believes was an attempt to create a form of humanity without the influence of Celestia. He is unsure of the deeper implications of this.
neck, throat, pontil, birthmark
Albedo is marked by a golden four-pointed star on his throat - this is where the essence of life was poured into the inert chalk of his body. He describes it as a "pontil mark", like the marking left behind where a glassblower blows air into their creation.
It's an imperfection that marks him as inhuman, to those who know what they're looking at, but at the same time, he feels that to possess imperfections is to *be* human. He could remove it if he wished, but chooses not to. It's part of what makes him himself. ...He did once cover it with a thin layer of skin to play a prank on the Traveler, however.
scar
It's said that birthmarks are the scars from one's cause of death in a previous life. Albedo's birthmark is located on the spot where Durin was dealt a mortal wound. This makes him wonder, sometimes, if Durin is not so much his brother as his past incarnation.
Subject 2, Dorian
Subject 2 is Albedo's doppelganger, a fellow product of the Primordial Human Project, who tried to kill him and take his place two winters ago. Subject 2 was stillborn, so Rhinedottir fed him to Durin, whose unnatural vitality resurrected him over the past centuries. As a result, Albedo has nicknamed him "Dorian".
Dorian is an alchemist in his own right, having created "Subject 3". In attitude, he is pessimistic and depressed, feeling that others see him as worthless. He is jealous of Albedo's life in Mondstadt.
Dorian survived his encounter with Albedo, but his present whereabouts are unknown.
Subject 3, whopperflower
Subject 3 is another Albedo doppelganger. Dorian made him from a Cryo whopperflower, a mimetic plant monster that grows on Dragonspine. Subject 3 is cunning in the way that a carnivorous animal is cunning, which is to say he's good at luring prey into his belly and not much else.
Eula, Eula Lawrence
Eula is the Reconnaissance Captain of the Knights of Favonius. She comes from an old and corrupt noble house, but does not share her family's views. She comes off as chilly and obsessed with appearances, but she has been slowly learning to let her kind heart shine through her forbidding exterior. She became Albedo's friend through the doppelganger incident. Eula has a Cryo Vision, and likes to dance.
Amber
Amber is the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, a bow-using forward scout. She is chipper and welcoming, and befriended Eula quickly. She became Albedo's friend through the doppelganger incident. Amber has a Pyro Vision.
Bennett
Bennett is a member of the Mondstadt branch of the Adventurer's Guild. He is naturally very unlucky, and as a result he blamed himself for the doppelganger incident before Albedo reassured him he had nothing to do with it. Albedo saved his life during an avalanche caused by Dorian. Bennett has a Pyro Vision.
Hexenzirkel, witches
The Hexenzirkel are a group of witches, mages who are unsurpassed in their fields, who meet every so often for tea parties. Rhinedottir and Alice are members, and their codenames are "R" and "A". Other members include Barbeloth ("B"), Anya Andersdotter ("M"), "J", and Nicole Reeyn ("N"). They initially wanted to go to war with Barbatos, but Barbatos convinced them to share tea and music with him instead.
Barbeloth Trismegistus, Barbeloth, Barbie
Astromancer Barbeloth Trismegistus, or "B", is a member of the Hexenzirkel. She is Mona's teacher, and a master of astrology. Alice refers to her as "Barbie".
Anya Andersdotter, Anya
Anya Andersdotter, or "M", was a member of the Hexenzirkel and a prolific writers of fairytales. She wrote the story which served as the basis for Simulanka, and was Mini Durin's mother. She is deceased.
Nicole, Nicole Reeyn
Nicole Reeyn, or "N", is a member of the Hexenzirkel and a peerless prophet.
Mona, Mona Megistus
Mona Megistus is a friend of Albedo's, as a fellow Hexenzirkel heir. She is a witch who specializes in astrology.
She refuses to read Albedo's future, because she believes he is doomed, and to observe his fate would be to make it reality.
Hertha
Hertha is the Logistics Captain of the Knights of Favonius.
Mika
Mika is a scout in the Knights of Favonius. He has a Cryo Vision.
Noelle
Noelle is a trainee Knight, and works at Knights of Favonius HQ as a maid. She has a Geo Vision.
Huffman
Huffman is a Knight of Favonius. He is somewhat difficult to draw.
Irodori, Irodori Festival, convention
The Irodori Festival is a cultural exchange convention hosted by Yae Publishing House in Inazuma. Albedo was invited to attend its first year as a guest artist, where he made lots of friends.
Five Kasen, Suikou, Aoi no Okina, Akahito, Sumizome, Kuronushi
*The Five Kasen* is a painting Albedo produced for the Irodori festival, in a style somewhere between his own and traditional Inazuman *ukiyo-e*. It depicts the Five Kasen, a group of five poets from Inazuma's past. Albedo painted them based on four people he knows. Venti posed for Suikou, Xingqiu posed for Aoi no Okina, Kazuha posed for Akahito, and Ayaka posed for Sumizome. The fifth painting, representing Kuronushi, is blank until splashed with water. Kuronushi appears to have been based on Wanderer, but Albedo has no idea how he would have gotten his likeness, as they had not yet met.
Xingqiu, Zhenyu, Calx, Legend of Sword
Xingqiu is the heir to a large trading company in Liyue. Secretly, he also wrote a series of light novels, *Legend of Sword*, under the penname "Zhenyu". Albedo, under the penname "Calx", read and enjoyed them, so he offered to provide illustrations. The two met in person for the first time at the Irodori Festival. Xingqiu was the model for Aoi no Okina of the Five Kasen. He has a Hydro Vision.
Kamisato Ayaka, Ayaka
Kamisato Ayaka is the youngest daughter of the Kamisato clan, and a member of the Yashiro Commission, who govern the cultural aspects of Inazuman life. She is quick-witted, curious, and very fond of swords. Ayaka was the model for Sumizome of the Five Kasen. She has a Cryo Vision.
Kaedehara Kazuha, Kazuha
Kaedehara Kazuha is a wandering poet and samurai, and the heir to one of Inazuma's oldest swordsmithing traditions, though disaster befell his clan before his birth. Kazuha was the model for Akahito of the Five Kasen, and had his hands tied in the painting; one could say he and Albedo bonded at the Irodori Festival. He has an Anemo Vision.
Kamisato Ayato, Ayato
Kamisato Ayato is the head of the Yashiro Commission, which governs the cultural aspects of Inazuman life. He seems to be perpetually amused by everything going on around him, and is a consummate politician.
Simulanka
Simulanka is a world created from a story written by Anya Andersdotter. It is a colorful magical realm populated by origami animals and wind-up people, who revere Anya, Barbeloth, and Alice as its gods.
Wanderer, Hat Guy, Kuroneko, Kuro
Wanderer, legal name "Hat Guy", is a student of history and political science at the Sumeru Akademiya, and a friend of the Traveler's. Albedo is aware he is also an artificial human. They met in Simulanka, after Wanderer was able to talk down the version of Durin native to that world. Albedo has asked him for his assistance in case the real Durin should ever wake up.
He is also known as Kuroneko, or Kuro for short. He was the model for Kuronushi of the Five Kasen.
Mini Durin
Mini Durin is the version of Durin native to Simulanka. He appears as a small, fluffy version of the real thing, and breaks Albedo's heart a little.
Sucrose, assistant
Sucrose is one of Albedo's assistants in his main lab at the Knights of Favonius HQ, and his *de facto* second in command. She is a shy, bookish fox-person who specializes in bioalchemy, especially in creating enhanced versions of existing plants. She has an interest in bones, especially those of long-deceased hilichurls.
She does not know Albedo's secret exactly, but she has noticed him packing his wounds with lime and distractedly eating sticks of chalk before, and has an idea that he's not quite human. Which - she isn't either, so it's whatever. She has yet to communicate her findings to him, however. Or her enormous crush.
Timaeus
Timaeus is one of Albedo's assistants in his main lab at the Knights of Favonius HQ. He is the world's most normal man, and he is dating a woman named Ying'er, who is a perfumer in Liyue Harbor who is fond of double entendres.
Cinnabar Spindle, Cinnabar, Spindle
Cinnabar Spindle is the name of Albedo's sword. It is made of an unknown metal, and its surface gleams like quicksilver. He found it in his campsite during the doppelganger incident, along with a note, seemingly from Rhinedottir:
"Separate the dust in the flames with joy, and extract the exquisite from the crude. For all in the universe comes from a single source, and all things may be derived from a single thought. You must pursue that which your elder brother, the one-horned white horse, could not accomplish. Reach the far side of philosophy, and create a new destiny for myself and your brothers..."
gender
Albedo does not have a designated sex at birth. He is nonbinary, and prefers he/him or they/them pronouns.
