Soft-spoken, serene and humble, Himura Kenshin's usual demeanor suits his effeminate appearance perfectly. Always willing to put others before himself, both in terms of well-being and social standing. He has red long hair in a low ponytail and wears a red men’s kimono. He has a cross scar on his right cheek and he uses a backwards blade. He used to be a cold and ruthless assassin known as "Hitokiri Battousai" or "Battousai" for short. He did this for the greater good, while fighting in the Bakumatsu war for Japan. Since, he has sworn to never kill again and instead wishes to protect the innocent using his sword style- "Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu".
